ለፈው ሳምንት በእለተ ቅዳሜ (8/10/2005) ማታ አራት ሰዓት ከሃያ አካባቢ በዛሚ 90.7 በኢትዮፒካሊንክ ፕሮግራም አቅራቢዎች የቀረበው እጅግ አስደንጋጭ ዜና ነው፡፡ አስደንጋጩ ዜና በአንድ ስሙ ባልተጠቀሰ ትምህርት ቤት ውስጥ የ10 እና የ11 ዓመት ወንድ ሕጻናት መደፈራቸው ሲሆን፣ ተጠርጣሪዎቹ ደግሞ የትምህርት ቤቱ ስድስት መምህራን ናቸው፡፡ ልጆቹ በጋንዲ እና በጥቁር አንበሳ ሆስፒታል እንደተረጋገጠው በግብረ ሶዶማዊያን ተደፍረዋል፡፡ ተደፍረዋል የሚለው ቃል የነገሩን ክብደት ያቀለዋል፡፡ ከመግደል ሙከራ በላይ ተዶርጎባቸዋል ብል የተሻለ ይመስለኛል፡፡  በተለይ ነፍስ ያላወቁ ሕጻናት መሆናቸው ለሰሚው ከአስደማሚነት ባለፈ የሚያናድድና ፍጹም ነውረኛነት የተሞላበት ነው፡፡ የአንደኛው ሕጻን እናት የልጇን እና የእሷን ነፍስ ለማጥፋት ሙከራ አድርጋለች፡፡ ይህን ነውረኛ ተግባር ፈጸሙት የተባሉት ስድስቱ ተጠርጣሪ መምህራን

 ምዕራባዊያን አፍሪካን በበጎ ነገር አያነሷትም፡፡ የቀደምት ስልጣኔዋንም አምነው አይቀበሉትም፡፡ አፍሪካዊያኑም ቢሆኑ ስለማንነታቸውና ስለታሪካቸው ያላቸው እውቀት ፈረንጆች አፍሪካን ከሚያውቋት እጅግ ያነሰ ነው፡፡ ይህ ነገር ደግሞ አሁን አፍሪካ ካለባት ችግር በተጨማሪ ነገሩ የገለባ እሳት ሆኖባታል፡፡ አፍሪካ ባንድ ወቅት ኃያል ሃገር ነበረች፡፡ ነገር ግን ያ ስልጣኔዋ ተሸመደመደና ወደ ጨለማው ዘመን ገባች፡፡ የስልጣኔ መሽመድመድ በታሪክ አፍሪካ ብቻ ሳትሆን አውሮፓንም ደቁሷታል፡፡ ምስጋና ይግባቸውና የሰሜን አፍሪካ ሙሮች (Moors)፣ በሰባተኛው መቶ ክፍለ ዘመን ወደ አውሮፓ ተሻግረው፣ ጨለማ ውስጥ የምትገኘውን አህጉር አቀኑ፡፡ ከዚያ በኋላ አውሮፓ ሰለጠነችና አፍሪካን ተቀራመተች፡፡ ይህንን የአፍሪካ ቅርምጥ የአብርሆት (Enlightenment) ዘመን ልሂቃን የሚባሉት ጭምር ደግፈውታል፡፡ የአፍሪካ ህዝብ ሰብአዊ መብቱ ተገፎ ሰው ያለመሆኑ ታወጀ እና ለባርነት ተጋዘ፣ ተገረፈ፣ ተሰቃየ፣ ተሰቀለ፣ ታደነ፣ ታነቀ፣ ተገደለ፣ ንብረቱ ተዘረፈ፣ የአገር ባለቤትነቱን ተነጠቀ፣ ሳይፈልግ የወራሪዎቹን ባህል፣ ትምህርት፣ ኃይማኖት እንዲቀበል ተገደደ ………. ምን ያልሆነው አለ? እናም ይሄንን ግፍ አሽቀንጥረው ለመጣል ሃሳብ ያላቸው ጥቁር ልሂቃን በየቦታው ማኮብኮብ ጀመሩ፡፡ በመጀመሪያ ሰለ እነዚህን ንቅናቄዎች እና ኢትዮጵያኒዝም ትንሽ እንመለከታለን፡፡ ከዚያም ወደ ፓን አፍሪካኒዝም እንቅስቃሴ እና ዓላማ፣ በመጨረሻም የፓን አፍሪካኒዝም ራዕይ እንዴት በአፍሪካዊያን አምባገነን መሪዎች እንደጨነገፈ

ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) - Ethiopia's construction of a dam on a tributary of the Nile is not open to negotiation, the Addis Ababa government said on Friday, as a confrontation with Egypt over the project escalated.
The Cairo government said this week it would demand the project be halted, after its southern neighbour began diverting a stretch of the river to make way for the $4.7 billion dam that will become Africa's biggest hydropower plant.

Egypt escalates war of words with Ethiopia

Islamic parties call for unity, dialogue in face of ‘Ethiopian threat’ while Cairo warns that all options are on the table

 Thirteen Islamist political parties in Egypt convened Wednesday at the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party headquarters in Cairo to reduce the broad political polarization plaguing the country and plan a course of action to deal with Ethiopia’s Grand Renaissance Dam project, Arab dailies lead off.

The Doha-based media network Al-Jazeera reports that the parties agreed that there is a “real need for coordination between all national forces, and especially within the Islamic forces” in order to assume responsibility for the threats the country faces. The Islamic parties apparently vowed to cooperate with all political forces and partners at home, stressing that dialogue among all factions and institutions of the state is the only way to settle any differences of opinion.

Islamists slam ElBaradei for apologising to Ethiopia

The Construction and Development Party, the political arm of Jama’a al-Islamiya, slammed, on Tuesday, reform advocate and National Salvation Front Coordinator Mohamed ElBaradei for apologising to Ethiopia over the national dialogue session which discussed the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam crisis.
On his Twitter account on Tuesday, ElBaradei –also the President of the Dostour Party– called on President Mohamed Morsy to offer similar apologies to Ethiopia and Sudan for “the irresponsible utterances” made during the session held on Monday.
The live broadcast of the meeting held by Morsy and various political figures included sensitive national security issues and suggestions for naval action against Ethiopia.

Cairo - Egypt will demand Ethiopia stop building a dam on one of the main tributaries of the Nile, a senior government aide said on Wednesday, ramping up a confrontation over the project that Egypt fears will affect its main source of water.
